An early morning traffic stop in Anne Arundel County turned into a gun and drug arrest.
Just before 2 a.m., officers pulled over the driver of a silver Jaguar for speeding on Route 100 near Waterford Road.
When they walked up, they noticed Xanax pills inside the car. After a more thorough search, officers seized a loaded 9mm Glock 26 handgun and a loaded Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun.
The driver, Andrew Drocella, is prohibited from possessing firearms from a prior violation.
Drocella was arrested and charged with several firearm offenses and two drug related offenses.
