An 18-year-old was arrested after police say he was driving around with a stolen handgun. 

MDTA police say they stopped a Honda Accord at Hanover Street and McComas Street after they saw the driver didn't have their seatbelt on. As the officer tried to pull over the car, the driver and passenger switched seats. 

The officer had probable cause to search the car and found a loaded gun that was reported stolen in West Virginia.

Andres Flores, 18, said the gun was his and was charged with knowingly transporting a firearm in a vehicle while traveling on a public road, possessing a stolen firearm, being under the age of 21 and possessing a firearm, and transporting a firearm on their person
