Former Baltimore Police Officer Arthur Williams is due in court on Wednesday for his bail review hearing.

Williams turned himself in on Tuesday after the Baltimore City State's Attorney announced that he is facing multiple criminal charges. The charges came after he was caught on video punching 26-year-old Dashawn McGrier over the weekend.

He was immediately suspended and later resigned from the force. Now, Williams is charged criminally with first and second-degree assault, as well as misconduct in office, and is facing up to 35 years in prison if convicted.

Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced the indictment against Williams in a press conference on Tuesday. While she can't say much about the case, she did say her team presented more evidence than what was publically available.

"I can tell you we don't just consider what you all have viewed, the viral video, we consider a great deal more evidence which is what we were able to present to the grand jury," explained Mosby.

Mosby also says the other officer in that video will not be charged.

Williams' bail review is set for 11 a.m.
