Baltimore County police need your help in searching for the driver who hit and killed a man in Towson Saturday night, and then took off.

Police say the pedestrian, identified as 20-year-old Towson University student Mzimazisi Ncube, was crossing North Charles Street south of Ruxton Ridge Road around 10:30 p.m. when someone driving north in a Toyota truck hit him on the drivers side, and then took off. Police say Ncube was knocked down and then hit by a second car. That driver stopped, called 911 and tried to render aid but Ncube died at a local hospital.

Towson University students and his former Gaithersburg HS classmates say Ncube, nicknamed Mzi was outgoing, funny and caring and was a member of a fraternity. One friend said he "was the happiest kid. He always had a smile on his face. He was very outgoing." TU students are planning a vigil in the next few days.

Police are asking anyone who sees a Toyota Tundra or a Toyota Sequoia of any color that is missing the cover and glass on the driver side exterior mirror today to contact police by calling 410-307-2020 or dial 9-1-1. The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate this incident .
