Airplanes can be breeding grounds for all kinds of bacteria, but there are a few ways you can stay healthy while you're on board.

First, it's important to note tray tables are by far the most contaminated surfaces on planes.

Overhead air vents, lavatory flush buttons and seatbelt buckles are also known to carry germs.

So, make sure you carry antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer.

Wipe down the area around you as soon as you get on board a plane.

Also try to choose a window seat so you have less contact with other people on the flight who could be sick.
