More than $44,000 worth of new lifesaving equipment is headed to Harford County to help the lives of local heroes and their communities.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation announced a $44,210 grant that went towards providing much-needed tools to three local public safety organizations. The list of new equipment includes 40 fire helmets, 10 hard hats and 10 gas air monitors to the Fire and Burn Safety Coalition of Maryland, a CPR manikin with accessories to the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. and a chest compression device to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

On Wednesday at 10 am a special celebration event will be held at the Firehouse Subs restaurant on 615 Baltimore Pike, Bel Air, Md. 21014. The community is invited to join the celebration. The event is expected to have live demonstrations from local first responders.
